The Fate of the Furious held strong in first place at the domestic box office for its second consecutive week, while Unforgettable and The Promise had underwhelming debuts.

Universal’s eighth Fast and the Furious film, which surpassed Star Wars: The Force Awakens with the biggest worldwide opening of all time, earned an estimated $38.7 million at the domestic box office. As noted by Variety, this marks a 61 percent drop from its $100.2 million domestic debut last week.
