Suicide Squad director David Ayer is in early talks to direct Universal’s Scarface reboot.

IGN can confirm Ayer is in early talks to both helm and rewrite the new take on the brand, which has previously been made into films released in 1932 and 1983. However, no final deal has been made yet. The Equalizer’s Antoine Fuqua has previously been attached to tackle the film.

Rogue One’s Diego Luna, who played Cassian Andor in last year’s Star Wars film, is attached to star. No word yet if he’ll play Tony Montana. Earlier this year, David Mackenzie (Hell or High Water) and Peter Berg (Patriots Day) were reportedly the frontrunners to helm the reboot.
