Full spoilers for Better Call Saul continue below.
Nobody puts Jimmy in a corner — and if they do, they face the consequences. That’s exactly what is shaping to face Chuck McGill after Jimmy is finding himself pretty close to penniless following his suspension from the bar.
Better Call Saul can often be a masterwork of tension, as it puts the pressure on its characters and stretches out just how long it takes until they snap. A perfect case of that was in “Chicanery,” which saw Chuck pressed until his breakdown, and “Expenses” was a long, drawn out version of that for Jimmy. Though Jimmy still isn’t quite at his breaking point after getting tough break after tough break, the final scene in this week’s episode was its finest.
